One of the best things about publishing Persuasive Writing for Planners has been getting a chance to meet so many interesting planners who are doing all kinds of inspiring things! I’m going to profile all of them in my textbook for planners over the next year and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been learning.
I’m always up for a great conversation. Hearing different perspectives on writing – whether for a Mayor and Council, or the general public – keep me going, and I learn something new every time. This week, Sean Hertel told me “We need to bring back the exclamation mark!”.
I heartily agree! Planners are a passionate bunch. Why should planning documents be dull and lifeless, when we love our cities and want to share our enthusiasm? I’m on a mission to change that!
